Fun with Feijoas

Over the last 2 weeks, A1 has been talking about and eating healthy food.  On Thursday we decided to make a special feijoa cake.  We collected the feijoas, cut them up and mixed them with  flour, sugar and eggs to make a delicious cake.

A1, you are very good at cooking cakes. Every time I watch the video I feel hungry! Perhaps we could make another cake for the Teddy Bear's picnic this week.

Hi A4,we have some answers for you. Katie, your cake is white and ours is brown because you put icing sugar on yours. Hayzel, Mrs Compston was begging for feijoa cake. Avantika, the cake was really, really, really nice.

Dear A1
Thank you for the piece of Feijoa cake I found in my cubby hole in the Staff room. I shared it with my little Bear that keeps me company in my office. He liked it also. I didn't share with Poppy as she doesn't eat cake.

Feijoas are one of my favourite fruits. I hadn't thought of baking them in a cake. Great idea. I might come down and get the recipe.
